I’m 32 and from Lumberton. I’m a locomotive engineer for BNSF Railway and my schedule is unpredictable. I’ve always had a love for fitness being a gym rat since I was 15 but when my weight had hit a plateau at 240 lbs, I knew I needed to try something different with my diet and gym routine. The image1time had come when lifting weights, doing very little cardio, if any, and eating whatever I wanted wasn’t cutting it anymore. My wife had been wanting to start working out together and suggested that we try Crossfit! It was honestly one of the best decisions that we have made! Our initial goal was to get fit for our upcoming vacation to Cabo San Lucas but it quickly became so much more than that. As of right now, I weigh 185lbs! In the 9 months that I’ve been doing crossfit, I have lost over 50 pounds and I’m in the best shape of my life. That gives me motivation to keep pushing harder! Crossfit has not only been good for my health but it has given my wife and I something that we can do together and honestly has made our marriage stronger! We love our CFL family and the encouragement there! We’ve made some great friendships and the coaches are amazing!
